dc.description.abstractThis work aims at studying americanization as a neo-imperialistic culture and its hegemony through the use of media and publicity as modern information and communication technology, on the world in general and modern Algerian society in particular. it explains how American culture is intruding into the cultures of the countries of the world and imposing its culture values negatively affecting the family structure. Therefore, national identity is threatened due to media imperialism. This study aims at providing the necessary information to understand the infiltration of the American culture into the Algerian society and its impact on the Algerian food habits. In addition, it studies the deliberate hegemony, domination and the consumption of the American fast-food culture over the Algerian traditional food. Accordingly, to know to what extent has the American fast-food culture intruded into the Algerian society? Does the American fast-food erase traditional food taste?ar
