To achieve the aim of this research two questionnaires were administered to 17 teachers and 78 students of the English department at Larbi Ben Mhidi University, Oum El Bouaghi. Both teachers and students perceive these activities as enhancing engagement and collaboration. However, differences in opinions regarding the effectiveness of metaverse based group avtivities were noted between teachers and students. This research offers significant perspectives on the capacity of the metaverse to establish enhanced, interactive, and efficient educational settings within the realm of higher education.
