Abstract
As a result of 7/7 bombings that targeted the civilians using the public transport system, the locus of racism shifted from ethnic grounds to religious one. Consequently, the fingers were pointed towards muslims who became viewed as terrorists, trouble makers responsible for all bad events in the world even if they have no hands on them. The British governement reacted to those events throughout enacting different legislations in order to curb the movement of the Muslims community and put it under control. The british public opinion was easy influenced by the media which played a profound role in conceptualizing a negative standpoint among the british against muslims. All the anti-terrorism measures that were enacted helped in the increase of the discrimination, racism and alienation of the british muslims.
