Item Adopting the british civil service as a model for the state service reform(University of Oum El Bouaghi, 2024) Haddad, Khadidja; Belbel, Rokia; Lamri, AmelThe British Civil Service, a cornerstone of the United Kingdom's governmental apparatus, offers an investigation of the core characteristics that distinguish the British Civil Service, including its firm and consistent principles of permanence and political neutrality. Furthermore, , this study gave special consideration to departmental structure, efficient project delivery process , and dedication to maintaining to the highest ethical standards within the British Civil Service. Therefore, this study establishes a foundation for analysing the potential adoption of the British Civil Service model within Ukraine’s continuous reform process on civil service system. It explores the Civil Service in Ukraine, outlining its development and current state. The research highlights the importance of transparency, political impartiality, and professional development in Ukrainian civil service active reform pursuits. Initially, this research aimed to highlights the potential value of international expertise, particularly from the well-established British Civil Service model, as a tool to accelerate Ukraine's civil service reforms. The concluding section of this study acknowledges the critical role played by a well-functioning Civil Service in fostering both effective governance and successful post-war reconstruction (reform). Following this line of reasoning, an effective civil service apparatus creates a successful environment for a country to rebuild itself over time. Based on a descriptive and interpretative analysis, it can be concluded that the British Civil Service is a great example of this, and their methods of conduct is a valuable guide for Ukraine's reforms.Item Human rights laws between protection and violation: the dualism of Bush’s foreign policies in Afghanistan and Iraq(University of Oum El Bouaghi, 2023) Tolba, Samiha; Lamri, AmelThe Concept of Human Rights is not a new term, but it took multiple forms and evolved over ages. It started with ancient civilizations, when the concept was linked to the establishment of the state and the emergence the declaration of Human Rights after the French revolution. All these developments paved the way for the universality of Human Rights which clearly appeared in the USA Bill of Rights and the UN' International Bill of Human Rights. Despite the fact that America had played a major role in designing and protecting human rights laws, its history shows clearly that it violated human rights principles in different occasions. When George Walker Bush became a President of the USA in 2001, he overturned all balances and expectations in the Middle East, taking the 9/11 occasion to declare his designed Wars on Afghanistan and Iraq. He theoretically supported all human rights laws and practically violated them in different occasions. In his speeches, Bush was symbolized as the creative actor, and the hero who convinced his followers and audiences that launching wars is a last option and not a decision. However, Bush's barbaric actions had horrific negative outcomes on innocent children and civilians that were protected by the UN Human Rights Laws.Item The Racialized minorities in the United States: the cases of driving while black & flying while arab(University of Oum El Bouaghi, 2023) Sabor, Chaima; Lamri, AmelRacism, since its emergence, is shifting from one shape to another generating more and more difficulties to those minorities living in the United States. Racial profiling is one of those shapes that makes is difficult for them to live there. The development of the concepts of race and racism led to the creation of a social dilemma, which cannot be wiped off easily. This research aims at unveiling the reality of the American society and the reasons behind segregating and discriminating the minorities, and that the establishment of the American post-racist society is a failure. This will be achieved by analysing different instances of driving while black & flying while Arab, these two are slang expressions used by the American society to name the segregation of Black drivers and Arab travellers at the level of the airports, contrasting these sites with road and airport regulations in the US. This research uses some methodological processes. The first is a historical descriptive approach in which the historical and societal factors were examinedin order to get familiar with the reasons behind such racist behaviours, which they are narrated in a certain chronological order. Secondly, an analytical approach, which was used to analyse some case studies of Blacks and Arabs, to reveal the reality and the kind of segregation these people are facing. These cases prove the existence of racial profiling in the United States, and that it is having a negative impact on black people and Arabs. It implements feelings of fear, humiliation, marginalization and othering in them. More, it determines that reasons behind such behaviours are deeply rooted in the American history, the fact that needs more light to be shed on it.Item The Rerise of the extreme left and the Radical Right in the United States during Donald Trump’s presidency(University of Oum El Bouaghi, 2023) Fezzani, Mohamed Al Amine; Lamri, AmelDuring the Presidency of Donald Trump, terms that were read in history books from the past century came to our ears constantly. Terms, like Extreme Feminism, Socialism, Radical Capitalism, Identity Politics and many more, rose to prominence in correlation with the Re-Rise of the Extreme-Left and Radical-Right, both of which are the extremes of the left and right ideologies of the political spectra. The Right is conservative, insisting on nationalism and preservation of social values and a supporter of capitalism; whereas the Left is liberal and progressive, aims to change and challenge the current political ideas and a supporter of Marxist ideas. The Radical Right figure Donald Trump's flourishing coincided with the Extreme-Left figure Bernie's Rise. This led to the rise of both ideologies in the United States of America. Both Trump and Bernie inspired many youth generations to adopt their philosophy which will shape the future of the nation. The major scene of the conflict between the right and the left, the republican and the democrat, Trump and Bernie; is during their party's presidential primaries, where they shared their ideas for the first time. This research give detailed history of the left and the right in relation to the Democratic and Republican Parties and how they switched between the ideologies in their respective history. It aims at drawing the relation between the rise of the both extremes of the right and the left, with the rise of Donald Trump as president and how he fueled the Radical Right Terrorist Groups. The act that ultimately pushed the left Terrorist Groups, and their present in the USA during Trump's administration. This showed clearly the importance of media and money influence in the US political system giving a psychological explanation to the relationship between one's personality and one's political ideology.
