    The Fourth estate's coverage and its relation with the U.S Army

    This research work examines the relation between the United States of America military and the fourth estate before and during the 2003 war on Iraq. It is an attempt to clarify the immense role of media in shaping the public opinion, both the domestic and the international one, in a way that serves to polish the picture of the U.S. in an innocent way leading to the demonization of Iraq to be seen as an enemy. The U.S. foreign policy during the early days of the war needed to be justified, and to attain the goal of removing the Iraqi president Saddam Hussein from power; due to the fact that he was suspected as responsible for the 9/11 attacks, related to the members of Al-Qaeda, and aware of the weapons of mass destruction
