Item The Postcolonial feminist identity in the novels : "The god of small things" by Arundhati Roy and " Nedjma " by Kateb Yacine(university of Oum El Bouaghi, 2016) Ferrag, Wafa; Stiti, RinadThe aim of this research is to critically consider Arundhati Roy's novel The God of Small Things and Kateb Yacine one's Nedjma from a postcolonial feminist perspective, with a special focus on how they portray the situation of female characters taking as a background the discussions within postcolonial feminism about the women's identity, and the representations of women in literature.This point is reached by studying the main female characters in the novels: Mammachi, Baby Kochamma, Ammu, and Nedjma. In addition, our study demonstrates how the writer promotes for an ultimate solution to the problem language and its tied relation with identity.It throws the light on some important things of life like how love is always associated with sadness, how a person's childhood experiences affect his/her perspectives and whole life as a case of Nedjma and Ammu.
