Item The Impact of the mish religious doctrine on the United States of America's political and economic performance(Université Oum El Bouaghi, 2021) Boutheina, Berkane; Ghennam, FatimaThe United States of America has enormous diversity, in which people from all colors, races, ethnicities, and cultures come together to make up a multi-religious society. This dissertation paper deals with the fascinating culture that lives inside America. It sheds light on the religious culture; the economic and political performance of an interesting and fascinating religious group, that is the Amish. It investigates the relationship between religion and economics, and how the former affects the latter. It also tackles its growing separation from the non-Amish world and its reluctance to adopt modern conveniences and technologies. Scholars had a considerable interest in Anabaptist economics. They have always been trying to search much more about the religious impact on economics; hence, this dissertation will explain and delve into the Amish agricultural system, social class, labor, investments, production, and exchange. The fundamental theme is the Amish economic separation from the world, their self-reliance and self-sufficiency, and their persistence at the fringes of mainstream society and the impact of acculturation on their doctrine. However, this research investigates not only the separation but also integration in the emerging national and international market economy and the political performance of the Amish over centuries.
