    Corporate branding and Its role in achieving business excellence -evidence from a Local food company

    Corporate branding has become an indispensable asset in modern companies in the age of globalization, where competition is fierce and the environment changes constantly. Hatch and Schultz’s claimed that corporate branding is based on three pillars, Strategic vision, organisational Culture and stakeholders Image. All companies aim to excel in their businesses and out-perform their competitors. In this context arises the question we investigate in this paper: Is their a positive direct influence of corporate branding on business Excellence in Algerian food firms ?. Following the descriptive analytical approach, The adopted methodology is based on a survey to which 100 member in the managing stuff have taken part. Using structural equation modeling, the proposed model is tested and data analysis reveals that there is a particularly significant relationship between corporate branding an business Excellence in the firm.

    Corporate governance and its impact on financial risk management

    After the financial crises and collapses that many countries from East Asia, Latin America and Russia have witnessed, which were triggered by financial and administrative corruption, unethical abuses, weakness of legislations and laws, and the failure of traditional methods to prevent the causes of those collapses, interest in the concept of corporate governance has grown and the belief that it will affect on the effectiveness of the financial risk management in the company, and the integral direct relationship between them. We have seen the truth about this in previous studies in many countries, such as Malaysia and Vietnam. Our study aimed to test the extent of the application of corporate governance in Algeria and how it affect financial risk management, by studying the opinion of targeted sample of the employees of the Algerian Popular Loan Bank in Oum Elbouaghi state. Where the findings showed the existence of a direct relationship between the corporate governance and financial risk management, but this relationship is weak due to the weak commitment to apply the principles of corporate governance, and we have also made some recommendations that may contribute to change for the better.

    The Implementation of ERP systems in manufacturing firmsIts merits, prerequisites and impact on business performance of local firms

    The Enterprise Resource Planning ERP systems have gained a considerable place in modern industrial firms in the last decade. Implementing an ERP system in firms can be a challenging transition, but a rewarding change if the software is implemented properly. The purpose of this article is to provide further insights into the implementation of enterprise resource planning systems and their impacts on business performance. It aims at showing their benefits and providing evidence of the prerequisites that firms should provide to take advantage of ERP solutions. To collect the study data, a questionnaire was distributed to ERP users to empirically test the research model. there is a relationship between ERP usage and performance, though, firms have to adopt ERP systems as part of a strategic project of automation, they have to made some organisational changes and also have to provide the required technical and financial support. أصبح نظام تخطيط موارد المؤسسة موردا ىاما في المؤسسات الصناعية الحديثة. حيث أنه في حالة توظيف الجيد فإن المؤسسة ستستفيد من مزاياه بشكل واضح، لكن عملية تبني ىذا النظام يمكن أن تتخمميا بعض التحديات والعقبات. يهدف ىذا البحث لمتعريف الجيد بنظام تخطبط موارد المؤسسة وأثره على أدائها ، كما يهدف لمعرفة مزايا النظام ومتطلبات نجاح تثبيته في المؤسسة. لجمع البيانات ، تم إعداد استبيان وتوزيعه الكترونيا على عينة من المؤسسات . وقد تبين وجود أثر إيجابي لتبني نظام تخطيط موارد المؤسسة على أدائيا، لكن المؤسسات ملزمة على تبني استراتيجية واضحة لاتمتة عملياتها ، كما أنها مطالبة بإحداث تغييرات تنظيمية وتوفير الدعم والموارد الفنية والمالية لانجاح عملية إدخال النظام الجديد.
