Item Contribution to the study of fauna and soil fauna diversity & soil fauna in agricultural systems in the ouled gace Sigus region Oum El Bouaghi North-East Algeria(Université d’Oum El Bouaghi, 2024) Ababsa, Malak; Achour, Yasmine; Hafid, HindaOur research involved conducting an inventory of soil fauna in agricultural systems in the Oulad Gacem and Sigus regions of the Wilaya of Oum El Bouaghi. These regions experience a Mediterranean climate in the highlands, characterized by cold winters and hot, dry summers. The qualitative and quantitative report was carried out between February and May 2024, covering three parcels and 15 stations. To conduct the study, we utilized three sampling techniques: Barber traps, colored traps, and the TSBF method. We employed environmental indicators of composition and structure, as well as statistical analysis (PCA). Through sampling, we collected a total of 1,394 individuals from 32 families, 16 orders, and 6 classes, with three branches being inventoried in our study station. The Helicide family was the most abundant at a rate of 14.88%, followed by the Lumbricidae at 12.94%. Qualitative richness, abundance, and diversity of samples were higher in cultivated environments compared to uncultivated environments. We also observed that the soil type in both study areas is agricultural soil with moderate pH levels.
